Bharat Subcontinent Agri Foundation
www.bsaf.inThe Indian Sub-Continent is a leading producer of many agricultural products. The coordination amongst each component of the Value Chain viz, Farmers, Traders, Brokers, Millers, Exporters is sub-optimal compared to peer countries. This leads to elements like food shortage, wastage, below par production cost recovery etc. Bharat Subcontinent Agri Foundation (BSAF) a “Not for Profit Company” envisages to reduce and subsequently eliminate this using its platform and introduction of various technologies. The crop yield per unit of land is significantly lower compared to countries with developed agri sectors; and hence creating opportunities for global companies with technologically advanced farming methods and processes to trade with Indian Subcontinent. The Food Processing sector is projected to attract US$ 33 B of new investment by 2024. At present only 48% of total produce gets processed due to unavailability of requisite technology and technical know-how to handle large volumes resulting in high levels of crop and food wastage. The promoters of the BSAF, coming from an agricultural background have come together to create a professional team and an organization to deliver value to all the levers of this value chain. We at BSAF strive to create this platform, through organizing conferences, events and publishing newsletters at regular intervals. The sole aim would be to share the wealth of knowledge available across the globe with all who can benefit from it. We are also on the road to onboard various personalities like Scientists, UHNW Investors, Venture Capitalists etc. to our platform. BSAF aims to provide single platform which can bring in Better Coordination, Encourage Agri Tech Startups, introducing new technologies etc. which could benefit the entire Agro Scenery and to improve trade relations amongst the subcontinental countries through mutual opportunities.
