CropConnect develops demand-driven value chain solutions in agriculture by working closely with farmers and clients. We understand the sourcing requirements of buyers looking for quality agricultural products and work with farmer groups to meet them. Such customised solutions help to increase market access of the produce, provide traceability, decrease wastage and improve farmer incomes. CropConnect believes in creating sustainable supply chains that benefit all the participants in the value chain including the environment and only works with like-minded partners. Founded by Ishira Mehta and Puneet Jhajharia, the company has been building market-based models to connect farmers to markets more efficiently since 2013. Over the last 3 years, we have travelled over 80,000 km across 21 states to meet and work with farmers. In November 2015 we launched an initiative called the Original Indian Table that aims to bring traditional food experiences to urban customers who are looking for more healthy, nutritious and local alternatives. We do this by bringing to customers authentic, traditional and directly sourced ingredients from across the country. Our offering is positioned as an experience as it contains not just the product but also details on the origin, nutritional benefits, uses and farmers for each product. All products are directly sourced from farmers groups, giving them access to a national market for their local indigenous produce. Over the last year, we have partnered with chefs and restaurants in Mumbai and Delhi to curate recipes and supply ingredients. We have curated a list of over 100 healthy indigenous products from farming communities all across the country which we offer to b2b partners like chefs and restaurants. In addition, we have launched over 10 individual products for our Retail customers across several marketing channels like Amazon, Big Basket and FoodHall.
