Finest Food Distribution Co. was started in 1948 by brothers Sidney and Jack Adelstein. Initially, Finest was a pickle manufacturer/distribution company. As time went on ethnic specialty items were added to the mix. With the influx of Caribbean, Finest Food saw an opportunity to outsource new products and found sources for manufacturing and importing a variety of Caribbean products. Finest Food and Jamaican Choice® have been a popular Trade Mark names since 1953; These well established brands are recognized in the Caribbean West Indian, Jamaican, African American and the Latino Community . Widespread recognition made Finest Food a leader in today’s market with distribution in all major supermarkets, independent stores and drug chains. The extensive line is distributed in the Northeast via our unique DSD service and our top notch sales brokers. Many items sold today have consumer cross over marketing and go beyond the ethnic boundaries. As a family owned and operated business, we remain in touch with all aspects of this multi-faceted operation.
