Initio is a University of Toronto Student Engagement Project focused on streamlining COVID-19 policies in an accessible format to small businesses. By creating an international network, our aim is to disseminate and streamline information. Utilizing storytelling and science, we hope to facilitate social solidarity through global connections. Small business owners will be able to use Initio’s multi-platform interface to bridge the informational gap. International resources are not currently adequate for small business needs. By sharing solutions and inspiration, we thus intend to utilize our global team of students to help reach local business and NGOs to ease recovery efforts. We will be utilizing our platform to share case studies compiled through market research targeted at assessing the needs of local industries. Over the course of the next two months we will be following multiple strategies that have been implemented and sharing our findings here.
