James Ballentine VFW Post 246 (Uptown VFW) is a registered 501 C19 non-profit that's mission is to help veterans in need and the community of Minneapolis. We have three bars and live music venue to raise funds for our mission. James Ballentine VFW Post 246 was named after James Ballentine who was a local of Minneapolis. James Ballentine was a Army officer who was killed in action in France on October 10, 1918, and the post was chartered on November 4, 1919.
