Captured images, both still and moving, always captivated Michael Timmons when he was growing up in North Eastern Ohio. He believes that there is an esoteric language that is shared between the photographer and those observing his work. Being dawn to the visual arts, Michael graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Photography and Cinema and a minor in Theatre. Shortly after, he moved to Hollywood and began working in front of the camera as a model and actor. Between acting jobs and auditions, Michael started to photograph headshots of his fellow actor friends, and by the power of word-of-mouth advertising, his career as a portrait photographer was born. After living for 10 years in Los Angeles, Michael decided to embark on a new adventure and moved to New York City. Living in Manhattan afforded Michael the opportunity to work with many models and Broadway actors further refining his skills as a photographer in both the fashion and entertainment worlds. Six years later he returned to Southern California where he now resides. Michael continues to shoot on both coasts.
