Peace River Regional District
www.prrd.bc.caThe Peace River Regional District (PRRD) was established in 1967, and is geographically the largest regional district in BC, encompassing over 119,000 kilometers. The PRRD is situated on the traditional territory of the Dane-zaa (Beaver), signatories of Treaty 8 and the Metis Nation BC Region 7. The PRRD serves seven incorporated communities and four electoral areas that represent over 40 unincorporated (rural) communicated. The are eight First Nations communities with District boundaries, which also include part of the traditional lands of the McLeod Lake Indian Band.
