Hive Engineering is an engineering consulting firm currently specializing in environmental services. The founders of Hive have over 50 years of consulting experience previously with some of the most reputable engineering firms in the region. Our areas of expertise include phased environmental site assessments (Phase I/II/III ESA), remediation, emergency spill response, hazardous building materials assessments (HAZMAT), environmental permitting and compliance, auditing and environmental impact assessments. We have strategic partnerships with other local engineering firms that allow us to provide multiple lines of engineering services in order to handle a project of any scope or magnitude. The name Hive is based on our company's guiding philosophy. We believe that the hierarchal organizational structure implemented by most engineering firm stifles creativity and true collaboration. Our projects require a number of different skill sets and technical backgrounds. We identify people's strengths and get people doing tasks in which they excel; people work independently, but recognize value in true collaboration. In some ways, our model is similar to a bee hive. Each individual has a job that they must carry out for the overall success of the group and all jobs are equally valuable.
