A Brush of Hope
www.abrushofhope.orgBrush of Hope is a non profit organization dedicated to creating a support system, through the venue of art, for girls and boys. Some of our children struggle with social, environmental or mental health situations, while others are looking for a place to explore creativity, and connect with their peers in a safe and nurturing environment. We have been serving and empowering children through art since 2013. Our groups of children are typically formed by either age or school district. We conduct lessons using a technique called expressive art. Our lessons are designed to encourage leadership, self worth, confidence, and coping mechanisms. We also work to help children understand healthy relationships with their peers, families, and the world around them. Our lessons sometimes showcase an amazing artist and their human interest story, we may do lessons on respecting others and their opinions, how to properly handle conflict, extending grace when necessary and knowing when to say I am sorry. We work on confidence and leadership in every group period allowing children to share their work and tell their story. At A Brush of Hope, we work with many different mediums, giving children well rounded exposure to all aspects of art. Our art groups are offered in our studio in downtown Lebanon as well as in local school districts during intervention time, or offered as after school enrichment.
