CAPA is the regional organisation representing 33 professional accountancy organisations (PAOs) that operate in or have an interest in the Asia-Pacific region. These PAOs, referred to as CAPA members, represent close to 2 million professional accountants, over two-thirds of the world’s accountants that are members of PAOs. Collaborating with other stakeholders, CAPA has played an important and unique role in developing, coordinating and advancing the accountancy profession in the region since its founding in 1957. Our vision is to be recognised as an inspirational leader for the accountancy profession in Asia Pacific. We aim to bring this to fruition through our mission which is to enhance the value of the accountancy profession by: - Contributing to the development of PAOs - Promoting ethical values and the benefits of high-quality accounting, reporting and assurance - Speaking out as a voice of the profession
