Rivermist Pet Lodge was established by Washington D.C. native Barry Goodman in 1969. Goodman chose the property for its pristine, yet convenient country location. An avid dog lover, Goodman built a boarding facility where the choosiest of pet owners can leave their beloved companions and trust they will be given the best of care. Today, Rivermist Pet Lodge is owned by Melissa and Scott Simon. Together they carry on Rivermist’s tradition of premium care as they look toward an even brighter future.
