Action4Agriculture,  through programs like ACTION4YOUTH, is committed to working with our partners in industry, education, and community to make sure the agriculture sector is the opportunity of choice, where every individual is valued for their role in nourishing our nation. Young people may only be 20% of the population but they are 100% of our future. Our vision is for an empowered national network of 1000 diverse youth voices working together to inspire pride in Australian agriculture. With a focus on young people our leadership and career development programs are: • building resilience and supporting young people to thrive • Enabling them to be changemakers • Providing safe places for them to practice what they learn. • Giving them opportunities to open the eyes of the people they meet to the diversity of careers with purpose in the agriculture sector. To help achieve this our action learning programs are connecting the community with the people and the places that produce the food that nourishes us and the natural fibres that protect us. 1. The Young Farming Champions (YFC) The YFC program identifies and nurtures young agricultural professionals and equips them with the skills to be confident communicators and trusted voices. The YFC are the face of our in-school programs and role models for who you can be in agriculture sector. 2. Our school programs Kreative Koalas and The Archibull Prize programs are underpinned by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals They engage primary and secondary school students in: • Sustainability awareness through the lens of agriculture • Critical and Creative thinking and understanding behaviour change drivers. • Working in teams to design and deliver action projects. • Communicating through art,design and multimedia. The Archibull Prize and Kreative Koalas connect learning to: • Real world issues • Real world people • What young people value
