After a thorough discussion that touches on everything from material preferences to your earliest memories of nature, we are ready to commence design. It begins with a layering of graphic forms to establish rhythm, flow, and balance – all in close concert with the functional parameters of the site. We then move into detailing, hardscapes, plantings, and textures, working iteratively to unfold a landscape that is uniquely responsive to the wishes of the client, and the highest uses of the land. BUILD. As a landscape concept moves from design to construction, a host of challenges and nuances arise. Every site has its own personality, with singular advantages and vulnerabilities. Our extensive construction management experience means final results are always best if we manage the entire process – from discovery to design to ground-breaking to the blooming of the first seedlings. CULTIVATE. After carefully nurturing our relationship – and sharing a vision – with each client, we gently and methodically bring each landscape to full fruition. We cultivate every planting, condition every slab of stone and steel, and ensure the concept and composition unfold in close accordance with that original vision.
