Aegis Insurance Agency has been locally owned and operated for over 30 years. It was founded by William J. Bernache and partners in 1988. For the past 25 years, Aegis had been located in Braintree. As of January 2018, the office relocated to South Weymouth. Two of Bill's sons, Richard and David, have followed in his footsteps. As kids, they both started out working as paperboys delivering the news on Liberty Street. The newest members of the team now include Brandi Magnoli, a close friend of a former Aegis employee and Dylan Bernache the youngest son of Richard.
