The Langlee wave energy converter is based on field proven solutions from the Norwegian offshore industry. The material for the main structure and water wings is standard offshore steel quality, designed for operation with regular maintenance. The Langlee Robusto measures 30 x15 metres and weighs 70 tonnes and is ideal for small island communities facing energy supply challenges. It can also be easily scaled into an array to meet the required energy specification.
