A-1 Rocket was founded in Amarillo in 1989. Through the 1990s the company's focus was on portable restrooms and temporary fencing for the construction industry. In 2010 A-1 Rocket started to expand into the portable storage container business, and in 2011 opened another storage container office in Lubbock, Texas. In 2011 the company expanded further to Floresville, Texas with oil field rentals servicing the Eagle Ford Shale.
