Structural Engineer of Record (SER) services include full structural engineering design and construction observation services. Specialty Engineering Services (SES) includes design of building or structural elements while not providing the full structural engineering services of a SER. Examples of SES services might include foundation design, retaining wall design, overhead or jib crane engineering in existing or new structures, modifications of existing buildings and structures.
