Founded in 1946 by Bob White operating out of his small backyard workshop located in Geelong. Today, Bob White Electrix is the preferred servicing choice of OEMs and operators of medium to large electric motors and generators in Australia and further abroad. BWE service, repair and sell leading OEM electric motors including ABB, GE, Siemens, Toshiba, Mitsubishi, WEG, TECO, and much more. Its major service facility and workshop is located in Geelong, Victoria, near major road, air and sea ports. The service facility includes extensive repairs, machining, fitting and testing capabilities, including Australia’s first high-speed balance pit, serviced by two 60 and 70-tonne gantry cranes. The facility also has four 1MW diesel generators onsite, enabling off-grid testing when required. The company was acquired by ABB in 2012, before being purchased by an independent family-owned group in July 2022. Returning the business into local hands and continuing Bob White’s legacy as Australia’s leading electric motor and generator servicing company.
