Mediadom Pyrhani is a cultural centre and a multimedia museum in Piran, operated by the Association of Cultural Societies Piran. Since 2015 it is the only centre of this kind at the Slovenian coast. It offers a wide variety of cultural activities. When planning your visit to Piran, you are invited to all the experiences offered by the Mediadom Pyrhani. It is a newly opened cultural centre and a multimedia museum in which the latest technology introduces the history and cultural development of the town. ICT technology and media make even the distant history interesting. Thorough texts and well designed films-animations enable the visitors to discover the rich history of our charming town, Piran, in a picturesque and relaxed manner. Centuries, in which salt pans and with them the densely populated fishing town, surrounded by a mighty wall, were created, are presented in two animated films with short documentary footages and an interactive 3D film. Visitors get to know the most magnificent characteristics of the town, archaeological discoveries, a pillory and are introduced to the most interesting contents of cultural institutions, traditional and cultural events. Technologically advanced and modernly equipped Mediadom Pyrhani enables the organisation of a variety of cultural events, from press conferences, lectures to concerts and music productions, theatre activities and film productions.
