The Game Assembly is a higher vocational education in Malmö, Sweden, for those who wish to work in the game industry. We educate game artists, game programmers, level designers, game animators and technical artists. The educations is 2,5 years long (except Technical artist that´s 1,5 years). 2 years is spent at school and the last half year the students do their internship in the game industry. At The Game Assembly the students make 8 games in total. They start out with a text adventure and end up making a FPS. Our game programmers make their own game engines and tools and all games are made in 8-9 weeks half time. The students always work cross disciplinary and agile which makes them very prepared when they go out on internship.
