Sheppard Dysphagia Resource is dedicated to improving the care of swallowing and feeding disorders (dysphagia) in children and adults with developmental disabilities. Our assessment tools and expertise are used to support safe and enjoyable mealtimes with the aim of reconciling individual choice and health and safety. Our strategies for reducing choking and aspiration, supporting high quality of life, and achieving each individual's highest level of potential skills are evidence based. Our assessment tools are cost effective and useful for residential and day treatment settings and research.
