UCI Solar Car
ucisolarcar.weebly.comDriven by the aspiration of building a solar car, a group of mechanical and electrical engineering students assembled in late 2016, started the SolEaters team at UCI. The team officially started in March 2017 after receiving professional advisement from professors and mentors. After continuous revisions and change in leadership. The team was able to clearly define and set their goals in 2018. For the 2020-2021 year, the SolEaters are planning on designing a solar car in order to participate in this year's American Solar Challenge (ASC). Throughout the year, the team will successfully develop an operational vehicle relative to the ASC regulations and powered solely by battery. Our team The SolEaters, consists of 27 students from various backgrounds, ages, and majors, all with a similar goal in mind. Although there are many challenging changes and limitations during these unprecedented times, we hope that through our participation, the SolEaters will continue to help in the expansion of renewable energy.
