Its Eagle Wing flies hundreds of missions throughout the world and provides 25% of the Nation’s strategic airlift capability. Dover AFB operates the largest and busiest air freight terminal in the Department of Defense, and is also home to the Air Mobility Command Museum, which welcomes thousands of visitors annually. The people at Dover AFB are actively involved in a variety of off-base activities, and a strong base-community program provides a forum and a spirit for military and civilian cooperation at all levels. Dover is also home to Delaware State University, Delaware Technical and Community College, Wesley College, and Wilmington University. In addition, Dover is home to the Dover International Speedway, the Dover Mall, and numerous downtown specialty shops.
