The 29th Combat Aviation Brigade (CAB) began wearing the blue and gray patch upon its activation on Oct. 1, 1985, coinciding with the re-activation of the 29th Infantry Division. Soldiers of the Blue and Gray supported operations in Bosnia as part of SFOR 10, and Kosovo as part of KFOR, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
