Later, Joi's mother, Val, became a co-owner and with her support Hairizon has become a leader in the natural hair care beauty supply industry. Upon embarking on their natural journey, they realized a lack of retail establishments that specifically targeted natural hair care. They had to shuffle around mainstream commercial retail to search and find the products that were right for them.
