LaBlast Fitness is ballroom dancing, partner-free, based on all the dances you see on Dancing with the Stars. LaBlast was created by Louis van Amstel, a three-time world champion and Emmy-nominated dancer/choreographer on Dancing with the Stars. LaBlast uses easy-to-follow patterns that are true to each of over 12 ballroom dances, including Jive, Lindy Hop, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz, and Quickstep. Each class includes dances that incorporate weight training to provide a well rounded cardiovascular, strength and flexibility workout. LaBlast also has an aqua fitness format, LaBlast Splash, as well as a unique take on traditional Line Dancing through the LaBlast Line Dance class. Instructors complete a one-day certification and are required to maintain a monthly LaBlast Instructor Foundations (LIF) subscription to continue their education and build upon the basics learned in their certification.
