Women Outreaching Women
www.womenowomen.comMission Statement: The mission of Women Outreaching Women is to empower battered women, empower children, and to create community awareness about family violence. We work toward achieving this goal by providing support through trained advocates, staff and volunteers for women and children who are victims of family violence, so they will not be forced to live in fear of their lives. We educate children by speaking at local meetings such as, girl scouts, eagle scouts, cheerleaders, church youth groups, youth camps, 4-H Clubs, and other youth organizations. Plus we hand out our literature about bullying and dating violence to the youth at local events such as Nations Night Out, Spring & Fall Festivals, Health Fairs, and many more. We promote community awareness by offering presentations and training to local organizations, churches, businesses, schools and local officials. We promote our events on local media, including news publications, radio, television, Website, FaceBook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc…. We make the community aware of what is happening in their neighborhoods and educate them on how they can recognize domestic violence, where to seek help, and what they can do to prevent further abuse to women and children.
