Modern governments need a broad range of information technologies to serve their constituents. From computers, software, and computer training for city employees; to the city’s Geographic Information Systems, and a fiber optic ring called the Bloomington Digital Underground; the ITS Department makes sure our sister departments are equipped with the tools they need to serve the public. Additionally, we develop software tools to help the public connect with their government, including problem reporting through uReport; an interactive map of road closings called inRoads; and this website, where you can learn how to conduct your business with the City, or even go a step further and join a city board or commission.
