Watt Analytics
www.watt-analytics.comA community of environmentally aware people who save electricity! Our vision is to create a community of people who share a passion for saving energy with the Watt Analytics team. Together with this community, we want to reduce the power consumption of private households and small and medium-sized businesses by 20%. In our community different parties work together and share data and insights about power consumption. Several components, integrated into one system, measure the power consumption of our customers. The Watt Analytics system consists of a meter, which is installed in the meter box, from the Watt Analytics Server as well as the Watt Analytics Mobile App or the Dashboard on our homepage. The meter analyzes the current power consumption four times a second on each phase and reports this data to the Watt Analytics Server in the cloud. This data is processed on the server so that it can be retrieved via the Watt Analytics app or via the dashboard. Exact data in real time! The meter is connected directly to the power supply and measures the power consumption in real time. Due to the high resolution as well as the separate measurement of reactive and active power, it is possible to divide the total consumption into the individual devices without the measuring devices being connected to the consumers. This is referred to in the research as NILM (non-invasive load monitoring). We also use this information to help our clients, e.g. with the refrigerator door open, sending a warning message to your mobile phone (Smart Alerting). This allows our customers to easily analyze the power consumption of their devices with Watt Analytics (for example, what difference does the washing machine's energy saving program make). You can use this information to change your behavior yourself (for example, use low power device programs) or to replace specific devices.
