The Hacker Games

www.thehackergames.co.uk

Trying to make the world a better place one hack at a time! The Hacker Games is a 48-hour competitive hackathon which brings together some of the UKs top engineering teams to address real world issues. Competing teams will be coming from all sectors and tech stacks which will provide a rich mix of ideas and technical solutions. In January 2017, we bought together nine companies, including ASOS, Trainline, Travelex and King.com who all competed in The Hacker Games to support our first charity partner, SpecialEffect. We managed to raise £9000 towards speciality gaming equipment for children with disabilities. The theme of our next hack will centre around digital products that make a difference to the lives of serving and reservist personnel and veterans who have suffered injuries or illness as a result of their service in the armed forces. This theme follows on from the work our second charity partner, Help for Heroes, does. We have some amazing names from the world of product and development coming down to guest judge and they will be looking for a solution that's impactful, of high technical quality and most importantly, a quality product pitch.
