The Chick with Pits Inc. is a non-profit and 501(c)3 organization located in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) Metroplex. Our mission is to utilize our passion for animals and skills in the pet industry to provide an animal rescue and pet sanctuary for the many animals who deserve a chance to be loved unconditionally. We pursue this mission by providing the complete life-cycle of the adoption process- from rescue to adoption to continuing care- in a way that shows people the true joy and companionship gained from relationships with animals. We also want to use our position as "a voice for those who cannot speak on their own" to educate both society and legislators on responsible pet ownership, while opposing breed-specific bans or regulations. Additionally, The Chick With Pits will aim to benefit the community through responsible pet-ownership education and after-school volunteer opportunities. Eventually, we would like to assist military veterans dealing with their mental rehabilitation and assimilation into civilian lives through pet rehabilitation/adoption, therapy dogs, canine good citizens, etc. Our mission is supported by the generous donations of our supporters and our offering of a variety of low-cost pet services to the general public- grooming, boarding, daycare, and specialized diets for pets- with 100% of the excess funds going directly towards the animal rescue, adoption, and rehabilitation activities.
