The mission of Goldfinch STA is to develop and deploy next generation sensors and analytics, using electromagnetic, optical and geophysical sensors for persistent surveillance and monitoring. Networked sensor products provide the spatial awareness to answer the questions of where and what types of events are occurring. We conduct applied research and development on both single and large-N arrays to develop products to outperform sparsely populated arrays in the combined metric of sensitivity, processing, and unit costs. We most typically work on problems from the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 2 (Technology concept and/or application formulated) stage up through to TRL 6 (System/subsystem model or prototype demonstration in a relevant environment), where a high degree of both innovation and cross-domain collaboration is required. We also assist our clients in then taking technologies to TRL 7 and 8.
