The Island Ship Center has transformed into the #SpaOfShipping and the #OasisOfPrinting, providing an experience that leaves guests feeling inspired, motivated, uplifted, and rejuvenated. The business was started by Fahim Mojawalla in 2006 on Grand Island’s Baseline Road as an extension of the FedEx Authorized Shipping arm of his original business, Creative Leather Concepts. Since then, the company has expanded to become an independently authorized FedEx, UPS, and USPS shipping provider with a full spectrum of office services. It is located in the heart of Grand Island and is the “go-to” place for anyone needing to fax, pack, ship, scan, laminate, or copy, all with a smile! After two years on Baseline Road, the business celebrated a grand opening and ribbon-cutting on April 8, 2008, at its current Island Ship Center location: 1879 Whitehaven Road, Grand Island. To meet customer demand, the Island Ship Center added office services, including fax, copy, color copy, and laminating services. In order to provide a complete offering of shipping services, the Island Ship Center also added UPS and USPS shipping services. In 2013, Fahim’s wife, Seema, joined the business full time and together they have grown the brand into the #SpaOfShipping, a destination for independent shipping store owners across the country. The two of them have been making the mundane extraordinary, now providing over 60 services under one roof. A major addition at the Whitehaven Road location was undertaken in 2016 to add a new 24-hour Business Center and additional space for a growing Island Ship Center. In 2017, Seema expanded the entire retail section with Seema’s Boutique within the Island Ship Center. Every year, on Small Business Saturday (the Saturday after Thanksgiving), Seema throws an annual purse party.
