IST has been established to enable the growth of research and development (both fundamental and applied) from government, academic, and industry partnerships to mature technology offerings. IST intends to develop several multi-year partnership arrangements to enable the research and development opportunities while furthering economic development for the community. The IST research staff is drawn from vast resources, as needed, such as faculty and students from the local communities throughout the United States.
