Futureworx specializes in employment assistance programs and services. We are innovative with a proven success record for meeting the ever changing labour market needs. We have many programs and services to connect employers and potential employees. Since 1984, we have assisted over 10,000 individuals in successfully attaching to the labour force and expect this number to continue to rise as we continue to grow and develop new employment programs and strategies to meet our clients’ needs. At all three of our Nova Scotia Works Centres, located in Elmsdale, Truro and Tatamagouche, we provide resume and cover letter assistance, job search assistance, one-on-one counselling designed to get you back into the workforce, workshops and much more to their areas. The centres have also been instrumental in the development of additional enhanced employment services and initiatives that are structured to assist individuals seeking employment Our work centre located at 80 Glenwood Drive in Truro provides a unique, blended, approach to training that combines technical, employability and essential skills instruction and development. Current vocational programs include Introduction to Hospitality/Food Services, Introduction to Environmental Services and Continuing Care Assistant. The Futureworx Development Centre on Court Street in Truro provides Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) services, workshops and a variety of certificate courses for non-certified frontline care providers who are aiming to gain provincial CCA Certification.
