Greater Omaha becomes the newest affiliate to the national ACE (Architecture, Construction, Engineering) Mentor Program, launching in January 2017. Collaborating with Omaha Public Schools, ACE Mentor of Greater Omaha seeks to engage high school students in building industry careers through hands-on mentoring. The ACE Mentor Program was founded in 1995 by the principals of leading design and construction firms. Since its founding, ACE has awarded $10.5 million in scholarships. ACE Mentor of Greater Omaha will organize community outreach activities focused on creating student engagement opportunities. Building rapport with public and private sector businesses, community agencies and organizations, and other potential stakeholders interested in impacting the students' lives is a focus.
