This is a multidisciplinary collaboration of professionals - including experts, specialists and passionate advocates/leaders from the health care, financial and legal industries - who seek to improve the protections for vulnerable people across Canada (or those people needing capacity assessments - except for statutory guardianship assessments) by: 1. providing information and education on organizational best practices/policies for potentially vulnerable people. 2. increasing access to multidisciplinary professionals for capacity opinion support, including access to expert witness consultants; 3. researching topics around consent, capacity and undue influence to ensure that the recommendations provided are corroborated by data.
