WAC international
www.wac-international.comWAC stands for "Wagagai Agriom Combination": a partnership between two companies: Wagagai and Agriom. Agriom is a breeding company based in the Netherlands and is specialized in breeding of many different crops. One of the major crops they are breeding is Rose. The small, but intense, breeding program has resulted in the first commercial varieties. Wagagai is a floricultural production company based in Uganda and has been in the rose growing business since 2001. The farm has now diversified into the cuttings business as the climate in Uganda is more favorable for growing cuttings. It now has 30 hectares under production. In 2002 Wagagai and Agriom decided to join forces and bring production and breeding together. Selected varieties are being tested and selected in both Uganda and Kenya and especially in the last 2 years a number of very promising varieties have been introduced in Kenya. Our strategy is to introduce our varieties slowly and on a small scale into the market. From each variety a maximum area will be sold per year and we will make sure that this will be controlled and communicated to our customers in an open way. Since we are a relative small player we will be able to give very personal attention to our clients and as clients you will be able to have a strong input and influence in our policies. As WAC we are looking forward to grow with you together, not only in size, but also in quality!
