About Me: I was born and raised in Western Iowa and grew accustomed to nature surrounding me – and beauty in everyday life. I was always interested in photography – fascinated with images from an early age. In high school, I shot most of the sports teams – group shots, head shots and action shots for the newspaper and yearbook and began to develop my own prints. I expanded my knowledge with theory and composition classes as well as a very hands on photography class in college. Post college, I took a long hiatus from shooting. I always captured what I saw with my point and shoot or camera phone, but didn’t really look at the world with my photographer’s eye. And didn’t have a great camera. After a bit of moving around, and a long career in marketing & advertising, I’m back to exploring my artistic side part-time. Capturing the moments where I see beauty and sharing them with the world.
