Yorke Peninsula Tourism is the key regional organisation responsible for increasing the profile of the Yorke Peninsula tourism region. Yorke Peninsula Tourism works closely with key stakeholders and lead agencies, in particular the South Australian Tourism Commission, Copper Coast Council, Yorke Peninsula Council, Barunga West Council, Regional Development Australia - Yorke & Mid North, South Australian Tourism Industry Council and industry to further develop and market the region. Yorke Peninsula Tourism's aim is to integrate the region's unique, diverse mix of coast, culture, heritage, unspoilt nature and rural communities, to develop the destination and increase visitation and yield. Yorke Peninsula Tourism strives to get the most out of every opportunity, to strengthen partnerships and maximise cooperative activities. Yorke Peninsula Tourism is an incorporated not-for-profit organisation with 2 staff members. The Yorke Peninsula Tourism Board comprises representatives of local government, tourism industry, and individuals with marketing and business skills, knowledge of the tourism industry and a strategic planning focus from throughout the region.
