On November 25, 2010, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 2157 / QD-TTG to establish PetroVietnam University (PVU). According to this decision, PVU is a special public university which is funded by Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) and does not receive support from the state budget. The university mission is to train high-quality human resources, combine training with scientific research and production and business, and contribute to the sustainable development of Vietnam Oil and Gas Industry. PVU is a career-oriented university, striving to become one of the leading universities in Vietnam by 2020, one of the prestigious universities in the region by 2025, in Asia and the world before 2050. Location: With the goal of building PetroVietnam University is an excellent university with high quality, modern infrastructure, and equipment, supplying high-quality human resources for the sustainable development of the oil and gas industry.
