MMG Foundation’s purpose is to promote Black independence, self-sufficiency, self-dependency, cultural awareness, and business entrepreneurship through education and training, as exemplified by our inspirational leader The Rt Hon Marcus Mosiah Garvey. Garvey was a well-known publisher, entrepreneur, journalist, and a staunch proponent of Black Nationalism and Pan-Africanism and furthermore promoted and empowered African Diasporas to return to their ancestral homes. It is from this backdrop and the fact that very little is known of the influence of Marcus Garvey in Africa and the Diaspora amongst the youths in Ghana that the concept of constructing a Marcus Garvey Memorial Centre derived. The Centre will be an education establishment built on approximately 20-25 acres of real estate, on the corridor of Kotoka International Airport Accra and Central Region. This will give easy access to those travelling across the country and international visitors to the historical features of Ghana and identifies the African footprints and its Diaspora. The Centre will encourage family orientated activities i.e. sports facilities, restaurants, accommodation, business entrepreneurship, entertainment, community activities, arts and culture, and it will be an academic and vocational training hub of excellence in various occupational sector and therefore will attract national and international interest to participate in its success. The Centre will be managed by the MMG Foundation a Limited by Guaranteed company. The MMG Foundation will commission qualified professionals to undertake the management and sustainability of the Centre. The team will exercise transparency, professionalism and efficiency at all time. The team will also be responsible for disseminating updated information to partners/sponsors in a timely manner.
