Hands Across The Water supports and empowers children and families through inclusive, strength-based services. We envision a community where every child is valued and has a safe home and a loving family where they can thrive. Founded in 1999, Hands Across The Water began as an adoption education resource center. Today, Hands Across The Water is a non-profit, licensed child placing placing agency in the State of Michigan with a full array of services including; parent education, foster care, behavioral health and adoption services (international, infant domestic and state ward/waiting child). Hague Accredited through the Council on Accreditation and recipients of the HRC All Children All Families Seal, HATW is dedicated to excellence and to serving families and children regardless of race, creed, color, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression or national origin.
