All of our physicians are Board Certified in the specialty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), or physiatry. Physiatrists (fizz-ee-‘a-trists) are physicians specializing in non-surgical management of injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal and neuromuscular systems. Common conditions we treat include sports and traumatic injuries, neck, back and joint pain, spinal disorders, brain disorders, post-surgical rehabilitation and cancer rehabilitation. We practice across a variety of settings. In addition to our large outpatient practice, we see patients in hospital consultation and manage a 50 bed inpatient rehabilitation unit at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. We also provide consultation and supervise the rehabilitation of patients at many local nursing facilities or what is often referred to as Sub-acute Rehabilitation. Across these settings we perform diagnostic testing and provide many services such as EMG, SSEP, joint injections, spinal injections, Botox injections for spasticity and lymphedema management, and more.
