www.jennifershorto.comJennifer Shorto studied Art history at the Louvre Museum in Paris. In the last few years, she has been collaborating with decorators bringing her designs as well as precious textiles to a variety of projects. She has appeared in a wide range of magazines such as World of Interiors, Vogue Living, U.S.Vogue, Elle Déco AD. “I became a textile collector when I came across a very beautiful18th century Suzani at the back of a cup-board. My interest since has never waned. I visited many places and befriended archeologists, writers and antique dealers who shared this passion and were keen on exploring less travelled lands. A few years ago I acquired a West African fabric from the early 20th century, which was part of a group of textiles which were still undocumented. It gave me the desire and inspiration to start printing and engage in keeping certain patterns and their spirit alive.”
