Whether you’re a chef, caterer, health food proprietor or home cook, Root + Holler can meet your meat demands and offer customized cuts. Currently, we offer heritage Berkshire pork, grass-fed Angus beef, several breeds of lamb, and Boer and Savannah goat. All of our animals are humanely treated and raised locally, free of hormones and steroids. We insist that our offerings are of the highest quality and meet our chef’s tastes. All of our products are processed at USDA inspected facilities and vacuum packed to ensure freshness. We can deliver fresh or frozen and allow specified hang times, per your requests. We base our business on a core belief that our customers' needs are of the utmost importance. Eschewing modern industrial agricultural practices, we insist on raising animals free of growth hormones and other chemicals. All of our animals are raised outdoors and fed an all natural diet of grass and grain. We are more concerned about healthy, happy animals and great tasting food than maximizing production. The end result is healthy, better-tasting food, environmentally sustainable farming practices, and locally produced food that you can trust. Since we do not purchase meat from wholesalers or distributors we are limited to what can be naturally, humanely and sustainably produced on our homestead or local farms. Therefore, we will not have all cuts of pork, lamb, goat, and beef all of the time. However, we almost always have a great selection of heritage Berkshire pork cuts, grass-fed Angus Beef, and lamb cuts, such as ground pork and lamb, pork chops, Boston Butts, ground beef, briskets, spare ribs, lamb chops, coppa, lamb roasts, bacon, and sausage.
