FM Machine, incorporated in 1963, is a family owned and operated business located in Akron, Ohio. We specialize in the manufacture of precision machined parts, components, and assemblies for a wide range of business sectors with a special focus on the tire, rubber, and rheological industries. Parts and Components: Our focus is on smaller batches of parts with close tolerances (1-200 units). We can hold tolerances as close as +/-.000015”. For parts & components with less critical tolerances (+/-.0005” to +/-.003” ), batch sizes can range from 1-5000 units. We also offer support and a part-stocking service. Standard, Custom, or Specialized Machinery, Equipment, Prototypes, and Assemblies: Mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical (wiring, panels, computer systems, & control panels), weldments, machined components, fabrication & assembly, inspection, testing, and certification is all completed in-house. Stand-Alone Electrical Panels/Control Panels Engineering: On occasion, we do design machines and assemblies from scratch. However, we try to limit this type of work as we are a machine shop at heart. Usually are engineering is focused on design changes, additions, troubleshooting, or making running changes to ensure the final product works as envisioned. We also will give recommendations on part design, materials, coatings, or other specs if we feel our recommendations will reduce costs or result in a superior product. We have been doing this for a long time and we know what we are doing!
