With over 50 member clubs in 18 different counties, the Anthracite Golf Association (AGA) continues to promote golf in Pennsylvania. Founded over 60 years ago, our golf organization offers a comprehensive schedule of junior, amateur, and senior events for golfers of all skill levels. We also provide a variety of services to our member clubs. They include: Official USGA GHIN Handicapping Annual U.S. Open Local Qualifier USGA Internship(s) Junior Clinics for Beginning Boys and Girls Scholarship Programs Certified USGA Slope Ratings Men’s Amateur Championship Women’s Amateur Championship Rules Clinics Junior Golf Tour Men’s and Women’s Senior Amateur Championship Cooperative Funding for use of the USGA Turf Advisory Service The purpose of this association is conduct tournaments for members of the clubs belonging to the AGA, promote the sport of golf and good fellowship, and in all ways, further the best interests of golf.
