African Slabs
www.africanslabs.comEthically & Sustainably Source African Hardwoods https://linktr.ee/africanslabs AFRICAN SLABS procures and distributes luxury timber directly from sustainable vetted sources. We specialize in large (3-4×24ft) slabs of hardwood from species native to the African continent. Every slab is tracked from its source in order to maintain transparency and industry ethics. We ensure strict environmental ethics and local processing to benefit the immediate communities in timber-producing African countries. We expressly forbid the harvesting of endangered species and are strictly compliant with international law including the Lacey Act, the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (CITES), and guidelines from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). We created African Slabs based on over 40 years of collective on-the-ground experience witnessing African forests being exploited and deforested. International standards are the bare minimum - truly sustainable timber is produced through strictly localized conservation efforts. Timber suppliers providing our hardwoods have been visited by us personally and vetted for sustainability, localized conservation methods, and community engagement. All AFRICAN SLABS hardwoods are sourced and processed in the country of origin, ensuring a lower carbon footprint and higher revenue for local communities through a direct-to-buyer supply chain. AFRICAN SLABS supply chain practices are a model for sustainability in the world timber trade, ensuring sustainable timber trade throughout the African continent. This direct supply method also increases revenue and development for local communities. We also guarantee that for every slab purchased from us, we will plant at least 500 trees per order. AFRICAN SLABS also offers Carbon Offset Credits to counterbalance the carbon footprint which results from shipping.
