Artfiles New Media GmbH is a German internet service provider, founded in the year 2000. Our Headquarter and our main data centers are located in Hamburg, in northern Germany. We are offering development services, colocation services (server housing, data center services, Internet connectivity (upstream and leased lines)), web-hosting services, domain name registration, and project business. The project business consists of consulting through the company’s extensive Linux and IT knowledge base for individual and system administration services. We are proud to have very long-lasting relationships with employees, suppliers, and customers. In 2015, more than two-thirds of the employees at Artfiles New Media GmbH have been with the company for more than 10 years. One-third of the employees at Artfiles New Media GmbH started their career at the company. Artfiles New Media GmbH serves far more than 10,000 private and business customers. These plans range from $1 a month to more than $50,000 monthly. The company’s longstanding philosophy and strategy is to vertically integrate as many IT-services as possible. This is in order to keep the chain of IT-hardware and software all under the company’s direct control. To stay competitive, Artfiles New Media GmbH reduces costs for operating systems and software by using already available open source software. Consequently, Artfiles is an almost pure Linux shop; the key personnel in the company hold a very deep knowledge in Linux and Internet protocol design. In 2011, Artfiles New Media GmbH brought this philosophy to the next level by building its own data center in Hamburg. This move allows Artfiles New Media GmbH to offer even more services under a single umbrella and maintain control over every aspect of this complex IT-services business.
